RMS Leinster - The Forgotten Tragedy Book Launch
"RMS Leinster - The Forgotten Tragedy" was launched by well know children's author, Alan Nolan, in the dlr LexIcon library, Dún Laoghaire, on Tuesday, September 25th.
Special guest speaker was Philip Lecane, local author and RMS Leinster expert.
Friends and family of Carmel and illustrator Jimmy Burns were in attendance, as were RMS Leinster relatives and enthusiasts.
The evening culminated in the presentation of a classroom set of the book to students of Rathmichael NS. Every primary school in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown will be gifted a classroom set also.
Suitable for ages 8+, it is the first ever children's book on the RMS Leinster.
